Quality of Life

People seek mental health treatment for many reasons, ranging from life-threatening behaviors to seeking to learn ways to cope with challenges and be at peace with difficult situations that cannot be changed. Often a goal is to have an improved Quality of Life, or an overall sense of well-being, with the ability to enjoy life and relationships, and to feel fulfilled.

Patients report an average 42% increase in quality of life.

On admission, participants reported an average 35% overall quality of life (SD = 18.57). After initial treatment phase, they reported an average 76.94% quality of life (SD = 17.67).

Quality of Life measured by Marsha Linehan's BSL-23.
